DeAngelis Diamond awarded contract to build Youth Development Center in Immokalee

DeAngelis Diamond Construction was recently awarded the contract to build the new Michael G. DeGroote and Gillian Campbell Youth Development Center in Immokalee. Construction for the 24,512-square-foot facility will begin in October and is expected to be up and running by January 2017.

The $8 million building which includes one year of operating costs will serve the unmet, out-of-school time needs of Immokalee youth, and will house a full service cafeteria, kitchen, classrooms, computer labs, dance and music studio, arts academy, teen center and more.

“We are excited to begin the construction of our new facility with DeAngelis Diamond as they have a long-standing reputation of quality commercial building in the community,” said Theresa J. Shaw, President/CEO at the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County.
